Easter weekends are always great for short trips. This year, I visited Como (Italy) with a good friend of mine. As it is not far away from the Swiss border, we went there by train.
We were welcomed very warmly by our host Betty that showed us our fantastic appartment - a loft in the heart of Como. We were absolutely amazed - I think we both have never had a nicer appartment than this one!!
After a short stop in the appartment, we started to explore the city. Como is very small, but very pretty!
Off course it didn't take long until we were hungry, so we ate yummy focacce in a small bakery. It was delicious! Viva Italia!
Big and beautiful: The Duomo |
In the evening we had dinner in a small Pizzeria. The pizza was delicious, and we were happy! :-)
The next day, it was raining non-stop. Too bad! But we decided to do a little excursion anyway, so we took a bus and drove to Bellagio, a little town at Lake Como. Even with this nasty weather, we immediately liked Bellagio - the small alleys, the little shops, the colorful houses - it was worth it!
The next day, we already had to go back home. Como was a really nice trip and really worth it! I definitely want to go there in summer again, it must be even more beautiful! But anyway: One can never get enough of bella Italia, right? :-)
