30 °C in the shade, on a cozy balcony in
a quiet neighborhood of Boston (Massachusetts, USA). Finally I find time for my long cherished wish to write a
travel blog. No, that’s not an idea that came up out of overheating! I’m what
in Switzerland is called a “Reisefüdli” – a person with the chronic desire of travelling, who isn’t happy
if there’s no trip planned. And since I remember, I've always written about my trips
– it started with very detailed travel diaries, later I continued with travel-tips for friends. I’m
often asked for tips when someone plans a trip. And I really love to help with
that! Actually it’s surprising that it took soo many years until I had the idea
to combine two of my biggest hobbies – writing and travelling – and to start
this blog.
While
travelling, certain things I love the most (what you will certainly notice
while reading my blog!): cozy cafés with yummy food. Hidden places away from
the other tourist attractions. Or a deck chair with a great view. While
travelling, I don’t look for adventure or an
adrenaline rush, but something what you could call the “pulse of a
destination”. The mood, the smells, the sounds, the people. That’s why I can
sit in a café for hours just observing the crowd. Or strolling hrough a city
without any goal.
In my blog
I would like to report about my experiences and impressions while travelling
and I hope, that those impressions and tips inspire and help!
Have fun while reading! Hope you'll like it! I’m looking forward to read your feedbacks and comments!
Yours,
Valentina
