 I already wrote a rather enthusiastic blog about Madeira a few years ago --> see here . Madeira enchanted us back then and we imagined several times what it would be like to emigrate there one day. Reason enough to visit the island again. And it enchanted us the second time too! The diversity, the lush greenery, the friendly people - Madeira is wonderful. I don't know if I would have ever made it to India if it hadn't been for the opportunity to attend a wedding there. I was concerned that I wouldn't like India, imagined it to be chaotic and full of people, loud, exhausting. An overload for eyes, ears and nose. My travel companion felt the same way. And admittedly: it was a bit overwhelming. At least at the beginning. But pretty quickly I started to enjoy the bustle, the smells, the many impressions, the colors, enjoyed trying my way through Indian cuisine, haggling over prices and looking for the most beautiful things at the bazaar. After my trip, I was thrilled by the country and its people, and I really took it to my heart. Although I was only able to discover the country for a week, I still had so many impressions that it felt like a month.   Summer has barely arrived before it's almost gone again. When the leaves slowly start to change colour, it's usually the perfect time to seek out some sun and warmth somewhere, before autumn arrives and days become shorter. We did the same - and spent five days exploring the Croatian coast . Here is a short photo report.  Road to nowhere?  Our journey began adventurously - namely with a somewhat scary display of our train in the direction of the airport.
